SHOOTOUT:
Sunday was the final of the Shootout. The culmination of a seasons hard slog, which must be a let down when you get kicked out on the first hole. However, Nigel Bailey and Ross Collings made it to the last hole. A bad start on the hole from Nigel left him playing his fourth shot short of the green whilst Ross was on the green for three. A chip short of the pin left Eric to go for birdie. He nursed it up to the pin and tapped in for his five leaving Nigel about a 6 footer to half the hole. (useful having a stroke when your opponent doesn’t). The put dropped and a chip out. Nigel first onto the green but still short again by about 6 feet, the door open for Eric. But for him, an average chip saw Nigel take the Trophy. Third was Tony McCarthy who went out on 17 after a chip out.
