The 17th poses a lot of threats to a good card, slice and you are in the water, hook and you are in the water, miss the fairway and you are under the trees.
Hit it straight, and then you are looking at a two tier green with danger at the back and hazard at the left with bunker right. It pays to hit to the bottom tier, even when the pin is on the top tier.
Higher handicappers will need two very straight woods then a pitch. Don't get greedy on this hole or you'll pay dearly.
